Wessel and Jorine’s paper is now published in STAR Protocols! This protocol will help other researchers to adopt and adapt our method for measuring mechanical properties of cells with optical tweezers.

Jorine visited the Institut Curie in Paris, where she gave a seminar at Marie Curie’s original bench! It was great discussing the all exciting science going on. Big thanks to Antoine Coulon for hosting!

Welcome to Sara De Bragança, joining the lab as postdoctoral researcher. Sara has a PhD in in Biophysics from the Autonomous University of Madrid, and brings a lot of expertise on single-molecule techniques. She will work on KWF project in collaboration with 1NA Technologies. Welcome Sara!

Wessel, Luuk, and Jorine attended Dutch Biophysics 2025, where Wessel and Luuk both gave excellent talks in the parallel sessions. As usual, it was two days of great science and meetings with the community. Already looking forward to next year!
