News from the Eeftens Lab

Tieke presented her Bachelor Internship project today at the institute symposium. Great job Tieke, we are very proud of our first lab alumna!

We are thrilled to announce we were awarded an Interdisciplary Research Platform voucher! We will use this funding for a collaborative project with the lab of Evan Spruijt at the Institute for Molecules and Materials.

Luuk received his MSc in Molecular Life Sciences today, and Cum Laude! Jorine had the honour of being the first to congratulate him officially on this achievement. Well done Luuk!

We are recruiting a PhD student to join our team.

Would you like to contribute to research in chromatin biology to generate novel insights about its mechanics? As a PhD Candidate, you will investigate the effects of physical forces on nuclei, genomes and transcription. Your work will help us take one step further in the direction of understanding the complexity of nuclear organisation.

Luuk and Jorine joined the RIMLS-Science retreat! We heard pitches from PIs, discussed scientific and ethical dilemmas, had a campfire, played paintball and golf, and enjoyed getting to know our colleagues in a different setting.
